Commissioned in 1975 by Thomas Nelson Publishers, 130 respected Bible scholars, church leaders, and lay Christians worked for seven years to create a completely modern edition of the King James Version that would continue the classic tradition of the original King James. With unyielding faithfulness to the original Greek, Hebrew, and Aramaic texts, the translators applied the most recent research in archaeology, linguistics, and textual studies. The resulting work provides today's Bible reader with an accurate and modern translation of the Scriptures with the stylistic beauty and memorable quality of the King James.

Perfected in it's imperfections.
God's word is written by human instruments and their belief, which hopefully is altruistic for the most part. Read this bible. I don't think you'll regret it. But as you allow it's words of faith to impact your mind, body, and soul, understand that they were humans who put this text to paper. They may have been good people, but everyone makes a personal mark on what they create, so have insight. Glean from this text it's righteousness, and separate out it's human-borne imperfections. Remember, God only wants you to try your best to be the best you can be, and to love your neighbor, with no strings attached. God bless you all.
