No Doctor! You're Wrong‪.‬

We have been brought up to believe that, when we become sick, we can trust our medical system and (more specifically) our doctors to fix us. It’s their calling and their duty. We hope that when they don’t know or understand what is wrong, they will keep investigating until they figure it out. Unfortunately, that is often not the case.

Doctors are human, and as such, often find it easier to dismiss unusual combinations of symptoms, or assign a familiar but vague label, regardless of whether it actually fits the symptoms being described. It seems easier to discount symptoms when they don’t make sense rather than admit that they don’t know everything, and then make the effort to find out.

This is the story of one woman’s physical, emotional, and spiritual journey through dis-ease to healing―a journey made possible by the determination of her devoted husband, who refused to give up on eventually uncovering the answer to a simple but heart-wrenching question: What is wrong with my wife?
