No Gravestone Left Unturned
She suspects everyone of everything. Now, everyone suspects her.
For cemetery owner and world’s best fur-mom Jane Ladling, death is her business, romance is her misfortune and suspicion is her passion. When she discovers a fresh body on her porch, she calls Special Agent Conrad Ryan, her smoke-show of a boyfriend. Who isn’t actually her boyfriend. Whatever. It’s complicated, especially now that she’s being framed for the murder of the only “hard-hitting” journalist in the small town of Aurelian Hills, Georgia.
Determined to clear her good name, Jane dives headlong into following the clues-with best friends Fiona and Beau at her side. But can she identify the killer before she goes to jail? Or worse…there’s another victim?
In love with Jane, Conrad, and company!!
I was SO freaking excited to read this book because I loved the first one so much I knew this would be amazing. (It’s written by two of my favorite authors, how can it not be?) *Bows down to Gena and Jill*
I love Jane’s quirkiness so much. She is SO much fun, and so fiercely loyal to the people she loves that I think her character traits were written so well and make her into such a lovable character, you just want to be her best friend! Not to mention her never ending love for cats? I mean come on! (Side note I love Rolex and all of his feistiness). I feel like Jane and I would be best friends.
Also, CONRAD. (#teamconrad) I love Beau too, don’t get me wrong but, Conrad is just so swoon worthy. (I really can’t wait for Beau to finally get his date though, I know Jane will make it happen!) I love how Conrad accepts Jane for who she is. No matter what happens I love that Jane can always count on Conrad and he will be there for her. She KNOWS that he will be. Solving a murder? Check. Waiting outside her jail? Check. Maybe breaking the law? Check (LOL) Feeding her murderous cat? Check. He supports her, you can tell how much her cares for her just by his actions. I love the scenes with the two of them the most, those little butterflies in the stomach moments between those two…. Sigh. When he calls her sweetheart… big swoon.
If you love a murder mystery filled with a slow burning romance (the wait is killing me but, I love it!!) and best friends coming together to solve a crime and prove their friends innocence? Then, this book is for you. What are you waiting for?! ❤️
