No More Bets 3

Months after the bets ended, Hartley and Jake swore they were done. No more games. No more reckless dares. No more giving in to that dangerous pull between them. But some things can't be buried.

When they collide again at a late-summer party—the night before a new year begins—the air between them is thick with unfinished business. Awkward words lead to sharp jabs, sharp jabs ignite sparks, and soon old patterns resurface with a vengeance. Hartley finds himself taking control, unable to resist the way Jake bends and burns beneath his touch, even as both of them pretend it still means nothing.

But in the silence after, with sweat cooling and secrets hanging unspoken, one truth lingers: this isn't over. Not by a long shot.
