Constance is a good girl, the daughter of a priest in the High Church. All her life, she's believed it's God's will for her to have a child, but when her application for a reproductive license is refused, and her best friend is arrested for circumventing her state-mandated contraceptives, Constance does the unthinkable: puts her untouched, fertile body up on the auction block to give God a little help.
