“A must-have series for middle-grade readers.” —Booklist
No Rules, the fourth book of R.A. Spratt's hilarious Friday Barnes Mystery series, brings even more trouble for this genius girl detective.
Friday Barnes has been deported to Switzerland . . . but we need her back!
With their go-to detective gone, Highcrest Academy has descended into chaos. Someone's fired all the teachers as an epic prank, and suspicion falls on Ian Wainscott, Friday's nemesis (who's also desperately in love with her). There's also the problem of the new vice principal and his questionable behavior. It's hard to take someone seriously when he's wearing tie-dyed shirts, right?
Can Friday prove Ian's innocence, find the prankster, and save her school? If it involves running, then probably not, but otherwise . . . Friday's on the case!
Best installment in the Friday Barnes series yet!
These are my favorite books ever, and that is a lot coming from me since I read a lot. A lot. R.A. Spratt is pure genius!
In this fourth book, Friday is deported to Switzerland because her parents, physicists, never signed the citizenship papers for her or got Friday a passport. Meanwhile at Highcrest, some fires all the teaching staff and suspicion falls on Ian Wainscott, Friday's nemesis/love interest, and the Principal is forced to expel him and hire a terrible vice principal.
As always, Friday solves mysteries, gets herself out of trouble, and tries to avoid P.E. class. I'm trying not to spoil the entire book for you, it's that good! I recommend reading the other books first, though. This series is the perfect mix of comedy, mystery, and slight romance. Ages 7 and up.
