Dennet Barasa. British. Former MI6. Bodyguard. Controlled and cool under pressure, he's about to meet his match in a petite heiress, who will be his toughest assignment yet.
When I lost everything I ever cared about, guarding the Blake family became my life. I’ve spent years protecting the wealthy family like they were my own.
Until I was assigned Mina Blake.
Beautiful and intelligent, she’s infuriatingly stubborn as she challenges me. She’s also a delightful storm, tearing up the roadblocks around my heart faster than I can rebuild them.
But someone is after Mina, and as the danger closes in from all sides, I’m finding it harder to separate my head from my heart.
She is everything I thought I would never have in my life. And I will do whatever it takes to keep her forever.

This book is by far my favorite in the series. It didn’t drag on and the characters were much more relatable for me. Unfortunately I won’t finish the last book in the series because it’s again Talia and Sebastian and the story line hasn’t changed.
Very excellent 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
From the beginning to the end I was so captivated with the suspense, love and exciting adventures. This book was so good. Now we need books for Ben, Elijah and Theo.
Storyline is rushed.
I’ve been reading these books since they first came out in 2014 so I was kind of disappointed with this book. I was expecting more of a buildup of Den and Mina’s relationship and for Den’s background to be revealed in another book. Not right in the first book of their relationship. I wish this one was more like the others. Of course I’m still going to read each new book as they come and am anticipating Sebastian and Talia’s new book; but I do wish this one wasn’t so rushed.
