Coleman Carmichael is a part-time teacher, part-time tutor, and full-time learner. After solving a mysterious death in his own Harlem apartment building, he draws the attention of Jay Baldwin, a young police detective. The pair team up, piecing together a string of seemingly disparate murders perpetrated by the Hudson River Killer.
