He won't lose her again...
Delta Operative Heath "Woof" Davis has spent years living on the edge. Protecting a State Department official is just another assignment until he discovers that Eleanor Bonham is Nori Duncan, the one that got away. He can protect her from enemy forces in the Republic of Kazarus, but can he defend his heart from the woman who used to be his everything?
She's not going to fall for a soldier boy...
High school was a long time ago, and Eleanor is no longer the heartbroken girl who ended things with Heath. She doesn't have time for love, not if she's going to rise in the ranks at State Department. But Heath is even more handsome than he was back then, and his years in the military have honed him into a man completely unlike the boy she once knew. With his sights set on her, how can she resist?
The mission in Kazarus is as important as it is dangerous. Eleanor and Heath will need to rely on one another if they are going to see the mission through. But will they be able to overcome past pain for the hope of a future?
** Nori's Delta is the 1st book in the Delta Team Three Series. Each book is a stand-alone, with no cliffhanger endings.
** Operation Alpha is a fan-fiction world for Susan Stoker's novels. The characters in this series were introduced in Stoker's Delta Team Two series, specifically, book two, Shielding Kinley. You don't have to read that book to be engrossed in this series, but why wouldn't you want to? Enjoy!

Woof & Nori
Eleanor Bonham, a State Department official, is sent to The Republic of Kazarus in hopes to persuade the leader to release a group of kidnapped, American doctors and nurses. It’s an “unofficial” visit, but important as the talks could help to put a stop to the funneling of weapons to ISIS. As Kazarus is in a state of unrest, security is provided to her team.
“Woof” Davis, member of Delta Force Team 3, is not looking forward to providing security to a State official and her team. He figures it’ll be easy compared to some of their other jobs. That is, until he and his team thwart a kidnapping attempt of said official—aka, ‘the one that got away’. Although Woof knows he is NOT a forever kind of guy, old feeling resurface and have Woof doubting his beliefs.
This is a wonderful start to the series. While I enjoyed the story itself, I was extremely frustrated with Woof in the end. When Nori sends him away due to her misguided beliefs, UGH!!! His teammates were cute and adorable in their attempts to get Woof and Nori back together! It was hilarious to see big, Alpha men go to Nori on behalf of Woof. Although each book in the series is a stand-alone, you need to read this one first as it lays the ground work for book five. This is a second chance, suspenseful romance novel. I read a gifted copy and all opinions stated are my own.
I couldn’t put it down
Eleanor, an Associate Counselor for the US Department of State, and Heath, a Delta Team 3 member, have a troubled and tangled past. As the story progresses their worlds collide, danger follows them, and mission failure is not the only problem they face. Lori Ryan moved into another author’s world seamlessly and melded her characters to perfectly play to the reader. Nori’s Delta brings international intrigue and romantic suspense together in a book that should be put on everyone’s romances to read list. I couldn’t put it down and I don’t expect you to either.
Heath hasn’t seen Nori since that terrible incident senior year of high school. They’d been almost inseparable until then. Fifteen years later he finds himself assigned to her protection team as she works negotiations with a possible middle eastern ally. He also finds old feelings resurfacing in the middle of trying to find the leak that keeps putting the negotiations and Nori in danger. This was a promising foray into the Susan Stoker inspired delta-verse.
