Not For Glory

Tetsuo Havani, now the Inspector-General in the Metzadan Mercenary Corps,  is sent to help carry out a military campaign to put down an uprising. His secret assignment is to murder his famous and brilliant uncle, whom the ruling powers on his home planet Metzada consider both a traitor and dangerous.  After some violent skirmishes on other worlds, Tetsuo and fellow soldiers land on Alsace, and  Tetsuo finds himself conflicted over his assassination order.  The importance of Metzada, and what it means to its mainly Jewish colonists, is a major theme in this novel that Mike Resnick called “Rosenberg’s best yet”.  NOT FOR GLORY takes place after the events in HERO.
