Publisher Description
Not Without Hope is the true story of the headline-making tragedy that took the lives of three football players: NFL stars Marquis Cooper and Corey Smith, and Will Bleakley from the University of South Florida. Told by the sole survivor of the ill-fated fishing trip, Nick Schuyler, with New York Times bestselling author and sports journalist Jere Longford, Not Without Hope is an inspiring and unforgettable story of courage and strength, friendship and loss, and, most importantly, hope, in the vein of Touching the Void, Into Thin Air, Between a Rock and a Hard Place, and Piers Paul Read’s classic survival tale, Alive.

Good read with some problems
I really enjoyed this book. It's an easy read and I finished it in about a day. The editing however is awful. Events are told out of order. At one point the author describes the time as dusk and the next paragraph it's suddenly afternoon. There is also a lot of redundant language. The writing just reads like a 10th grade English paper.
WOW
This book was so sad, I don’t want to spoil it for anybody but it was so sad how Marquis and will died in his arms, And how Corey had gone so mad he just jumped off the boat, I couldn’t hold back tears. I would recommend this book to anybody (CAUTION, very sad book)
Could have been much shorter
I definately liked the book and it cleared up many questions I had about the incident. However, the second half of the book began repeating Nick’s thoughts and feelings over and over and over. I wouldnt mention it if it was only a few times, but it happened ALOT.
