The Earl of Pensby lost his wife in a fire, one that left him scarred in more ways than one. He's surly, brooding, and according to half the ton, a monster. Except to Agatha Trumwell, she sees so much more than his scars. But with a pitiful dowry, unfavorable looks, and a tendency to speak her mind, she has nothing to commend her, or so she believes.
Can these two lonely souls find love amid the gossiping beau monde while someone plots to tear their fragile world apart?

A book worth reading!
I loved this book so much! It shows you that it doesn't matter on the outside but on the inside is what counts the most! It really changed my perspective of love and brought it to a better and higher level. You can just feel the love that agatha and Magnus feel for one another.
I've read it 5 or 6 times now and I still love it! Great story, and characters you want to root for.
The author has offered up intelligent characters and just the right combination of romance and intrigue. I was completely enthralled from start to finish. More of this please. I loved it!
