Nothing To Lose

As someone who’s chronically ill, disabled and queer this book speaks volumes to me. I feel seen and heard. Thank you for shinning a light on queer and disabled relationships. Love love love

Peyton and Hudson certainly have a very rocking beginning… Yet, Peyton’s personality seemed to try to be positive as the rejections piled up. Peyton’s sweetness finally caught the more positive reaction of Hudson in his baking success. Surrounding this burgeoning friendship is the physical challenge each is facing, through quite different at first. I have a personal relationship to some of the challenges, but certainly not to the degree included here. The story projects a meeting of neighbors who soon relate to each other’s physical challenges, while developing an appreciation for the real man behind each person’s surface. There are a couple of surprises, but well constructed and part of the story. I wished the parrot and the kitten could have interacted and developed a companion relationship… Just a thought! The story concludes in a way that lays the foundation for a lifelong relationship. Great characters and a great story!!
