“If given the chance, I could love him again.”
Maisey loves her job designing wedding cakes and she always made sure that the bride left her shop with the cake of her dreams. Living and working in her hometown was great, but sometimes she wondered what might have been. She had been crazy about Tucker in high school and they were inseparable. He had promised her the world but the minute he graduated, he left town and never looked back. Maisey’s heart was broken and she hoped their paths never crossed again. Unfortunately, Tucker was back in town and it was inevitable that she would run into him and if she did, she would be cordial but she would never forgive him. Tucker knew he had his work cut out for him when it came to winning Maisey back. He had always regretted how he left things and was afraid she would never forgive him. He may have met many beautiful women, but his heart had always belonged to Maisey, and now he had to convince her that she was the one for him. The is a wonderful story of first love, second chances and forgiveness. Everyone remembers their first love and how it made you feel. You kept going after it was over but wouldn’t it be amazing to relive all of your special moments? Maisey and Tucker were given that chance and their journey was romantic, hopeful and full of surprises.
Kinda lame but okay
Gotta say Maisie does really hold a grudge against her high school sweetheart, Tucker McCloud, an professional football player who came back to the small town for his parents’ 40th wedding anniversary. I mean the guy is 30 something years old and Maisie is year younger but she’s like this immature and bitter person who didn’t want to give Tucker a second chance. I mean it’s understandable that she doesn’t want to get hurt again when Tucker leaves to go back to San Francisco to play professional football while Maisie has a career running her bakery making wedding cakes in the small town. Now I know it’s only $2.99 and had maybe four stars from previous reviews. Usually I like second chances romances depending with the right hook to draw the readers like myself in after the first chapter but unfortunately this particular short second chances story didn’t have it even though I bought it on a whim.
So Fun, Sweet & Charming!
This was a entertaining, second chance Romance that was so cute, fast paced read, that had a lot of heart, sassy and spunky dialogue and the perfect amount of heat. Loved it
I loved Maisey Henderson and Tucker McCloud so much! The ease and the back and forth they had with each other, after all their time apart is delightful. I loved the pull they had, the great conversations and sassy, witty, dialogue. It had me hooked. They were just so fun together. I was so charmed by Tucker. I thought they were great characters and I loved all the tension and animosity between them. Loved the build to the heat as well, as these two just can’t stop thinking about the other. It was very swoon worthy. Don’t pass this story by!
