From the # 1 New York Times bestselling author of Saving Quinton comes a story about giving in to love-body and soul . . .
Today is the first day of Quinton Carter's new life. The toxic guilt of his past left him in pieces-but one girl unexpectedly put him back together. Thanks to Nova Reed, Quinton can finally see the world with clear eyes. She's the reason his heart is still kicking behind the jagged scar on his chest. And he would love to have her in his arms every minute of the day . . . but he's not ready yet.
Playing drums in a band and living with her best friends are just some of the highlights of Nova's life. But the best new development? Talking to Quinton on the phone each night. She wishes she could touch him, kiss him, though she knows he needs time to heal. Yet shocking news is on the way-a reminder of life's dark side-and Nova will need Quinton like he once needed her. Is he strong enough to take the final leap out of his broken past . . . and into Nova's heart?
This is the 3rd story in the Nova Series. This book is about Nova & Quinton getting back in touch after he leaves the rehab facility. Quinton Carter and Nova Reed are in love. With each other. They just have to learn to communicate.
The story begins with Quinton coming out of rehab and trying to adjust to normal life. Whatever that is. He moves back in with his dad and they make a pact to be honest with one another. He avoids talking to Nova and sends messages through her roommate, Tristan.
Nova is the one who "saved" Quinton by pushing him to get help. They have both suffered major losses in their young lives and have a lot in common. They are both recovering addicts who are trying to help other people.
Quinton and Nova finally connect over the phone by texting and calling on a regular basis. They help each other through some tough times and try to be the solid "backup" that many a friend needs. Quinton learns that Nova is very necessary in his life and he is not sure when to see her ore tell her this.
Nova is starting to feel like just a third wheel for Quinton. He has no problem talking or texting her on the phone, but always says he is not ready to see her in person. She is beginning to feel that will always be the case.
They are both suffering from many emotional hits. Nova, with her assorted roommates and friendships - as well as her band. Quinton with his new job and re-entering of day to day life without giving in to his addition. Together, they would probably be stronger, right? Only one way to find out!
