Tyelah and Devaleh are striving to find balance between their former lives and the lives they wish to lead together. At last, they have the chance for the future they so desperately wished for, sitting on that hillside so many years prior. 

With the mystery of who commissioned Devaleh's death settled, their friends also having found love in one another, and The Royal Wedding finally complete, it should be a time of rejoicing. But of course that is not how matters have been proceeding. Not at all.

For a start, The revelation of Anomi's true birthright in Ronia sets a quandry upon Kusta and Tyelah which seems too great for either to bear. And then, the arrival of the child Devaleh sired in Ronia threatens to destroy their friendship, both unions, and the budding alliance.
