An intriguing novel
At first I didn’t think I’d enjoy this novel having expected a lot of violence, but when I finished reading the first chapter it became more intriguing. The transitions from each scene to the next were well written.

Hands down, my favorite historical romance author. Ms. Jackson's novels portray the lives of amazingly strong women with complex personal stories. The depth of her characters is always fascinating and often emotionally tear provoking. I could not put this latest one down and highly recommend this book and her entire collection.
