Publisher Description

General Ridgewalker Zirkander is getting married.

Sardelle—the woman who’s battled dragons, shamans, and countless enemy soldiers at his side—has accepted his proposal, and it’s the perfect time for a wedding. It’s been two months since any dragons or sorceresses attacked the city, the Cofah haven’t come after their kidnapped emperor, and King Angulus has stopped yelling at Ridge for his inadvertent role in destroying the castle.

Yes, it’s the perfect time for a wedding.

Never mind that the resident dragon who thinks he’s a god is pressuring Ridge to build a temple for him, or that the pirate-turned-scientist Tolemek has disappeared. Or that Ridge’s mother is on the verge of discovering that magic exists and her future daughter-in-law is a sorceress. These are small hiccups, and the wedding will go smoothly. Ridge is sure of it. Really.

Full series.

I have read the whole series and though I enjoyed them they were very short. Averaging about 90 words per page. Most books I have been reading seam to have about 500.
I will try more of his books. I just hope they are longer.

Oaths

While I liked this story, I’m glad the series is at its end. The expected action, drama, wit and excitement was present like it was in the other books but, in my opinion, it seems old and tired, and more like story filler than new material. If you’re expecting resolution of the various character couples, you will not find it, which, after paying for 7 other books to get here, could and would have been a better space filler. In the end, at least there is a HEA for Ridge and Sardelle.

Another great book

The previous re view is unfair. This is not a summary, it is a whole new story in and of itself. It does include an adventure as well. However, this book is much more character driven rather than adventure driven. All of the characters are so entertaining and funny I find the book worth it. If anything, I would call this story more ‘domestic’ than the others. The adventure takes up just as much of the book as settling open ends with characters. It was far more dramatic than adventurous and a good way to complete the story arch.
