Oberlin Baroque Performance Institute

Oberlin’s Baroque Performance Institute has been at the epicenter of the historical performance world for nearly fifty years. This memoir details the earliest years when August Wenzinger , James Caldwell, and Catharina Meints created the summer institute. With stories, pictures, and embedded audio recordings of previously unreleased music, it is a treasure chest of remembrances. Still more recordings can be heard on the website, CatharinaMeints.com. Over 16 CDs worth of music recorded by BPI and Oberlin faculty have been reproduced on this website. Many of the recordings were either never released or were LPs that were never changed to CDs.
