From New York Times Bestselling Author Kristen Proby comes the thrilling conclusion to her Martinelli Mafia series…
Rafe “Rocco” Martinelli was never one for the family business. Alas, being born into a crime syndicate means doing the family’s bidding and making sure you’re connected—and, yes, breaking a few kneecaps. Rafe would love nothing more than to hang up his enforcer apron and live a quiet life, but as more and more higher-ups in rival clans turn up dead, Rafe realizes he doesn’t have a choice. Especially not when the captivating and gorgeous bratva princess needs his help.
Dr. Annika Tarenkov learned early on that her belongs to her family. She’s a pawn in the long game, a bargaining chip for power and prestige. She gave up the only person in her life she thought she could be happy with, all for the greater good of the family. Now, a newly made widow and desperately seeking answers, she’s forced to confront her past as it converges with her present. But all it does is make her wonder about her future and how she can make Rafe hers again. While being with him is like wrangling a toddler at times, he still makes her heart race and her breath catch. And she wouldn’t feel safer with anyone else.
With the chips seemingly stacked against them, they must work to uncover the perpetrators of the nefarious plot that’s been brewing for some time—before it’s too late.
What an ending! So sad to see these brothers end but can’t wait for what’s next!
What an ending! So sad to see these brothers end but can’t wait for what’s next! After teasing in the past two books about Annika and Rafe, I was so ready for their story and Kristen did not disappoint! I loved that we got to know them from when they first met back in college, and the relationship they had as young adults, versus reestablishing a relationship as adults years later with everything that had happened between them. It was interesting to see how the effects of their first relationship affected their lives between them, and I found myself wanting to hunt her uncle down because of how he broke them apart in the first place. As the brothers and their girls work together to take down the cause of all the trouble that started in the first book and surrounding Annika’s wedding, this was the perfect ending to this series, and I was so glad their relationship was finally approved since the families were in good standing with each other thanks to the others. I can’t wait to see what comes next!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Rafe and Annika
I think these two are my favorite of this trilogy! Rafe will do anything to help Annika. Unfortunately, she has herself in quite the predicament. Strong friendship and family is key throughout this story. HEA.
This is how Mafia is done 🙌🏻
Wow, I’m sitting here still trying to process this.
I am obsessed with Kristen Proby’s mafia!!!!
These Martinelli’s are something truly special.
The suspense in these books has been amazing. I’m usually pretty fast at picking out the “who done it...” but Proby had me thrown! I literally gasped.
My suggestion - read all of the Mafia in order! You get the full picture. Absolutely binge worthy!!!
