Getting old can be frightening and depressing, but it can also be a time to celebrate. Ned Quist, an author, has experienced loss in his life but has chosen to renew old acquaintances, refresh friendships from his high school band days, and find happiness as a member of a band made up of the infirm and elderly. Old relationships are rekindled, and high school band members become octogenarians in a band whose goal is to have fun, foster friendships, and enjoy the opportunity to take the stage and play.
