Old Soldiers

As a young man in the army, I was extremely privileged to have served my time in three equal parts: one year in Fort Lee, Virginia; a second year in Germany, and a third year in France. No matter where I was stationed, I was never without my camera and plenty of extra film. During the dullness of my long weekends, all of the furloughs, or through long bus tours, I covered each and every tourist site on the continent. As a result of my proclivity for taking good pictures, I ended up with far more pictures than money. I really enjoyed reviewing my past and the many photographs that have filled several albums. What you have here in this book is a collection of images, which I took or collected during the most enjoyable parts of my military career.
