His father died in the jungle. So who is the man living there now?
Oliver buried his grief along with his father. Then the impossible news comes: his father has been found alive, deep in the jungle, changed, silent, and not quite the man Oliver remembers.
Oliver goes to bring him home. What he finds instead is an ancient evil that has waited a very long time, and it wants one thing in return for what it gave back: a soul.
Back home, his sister Lydia has discovered a beautiful old carved box. She can't stop opening it. She can't stop listening to it. And every day, she is slipping further out of reach.
Now Oliver is fighting a battle he can't see, against an enemy he doesn't understand, for the two people he loves most. And the only weapon strong enough may be the faith he thought he'd lost.
Eerie, gripping and deeply human, Oliver is a tale of spiritual warfare, family loyalty and the power of prayer against the darkness, for readers who like their suspense supernatural and their hope unshakable.
