Oliver's USA Quest

Not a worksheet pack. A 203-page interactive geography book your child plays.

Oliver is crossing America and he needs help naming all fifty states. Every state begins with a shape and four answers. Choose one, and the book takes you somewhere different depending on what you picked.

A WRONG ANSWER NEVER ENDS THE GAME

Choose wrongly and you land at a crossroads. The further your answer was from the truth, the more help you get.

Three answers left — a clue about where the state lies and what it touches.
Two answers left — the clue names the capital city.
One answer left — the state is named outright, and you carry on.

Nobody is ever stuck, and nobody is ever sent back to the beginning. A child who knows nothing about American geography still reaches the last page, and learns on the way there.

WHAT IS INSIDE

All 50 states, ordered easiest to hardest.
50 state outlines drawn from real geography, with no labels to give it away.
All 50 state capitals, used as clues rather than asked as questions.
The statehood number of every state.
134 facts, every one checked against a named source.
100 maps of the United States with the remaining answers highlighted, so a child sees where each choice is and not only its name.
203 pages, and every answer is a tap away.

ABOUT THE FACTS

These are facts a child repeats at dinner. The Grand Canyon is a mile deep and 277 miles long. El Paso is closer to California than it is to Houston, in the same state. A vault in Kentucky holds about half the gold the country keeps in store. The bald eagle stood on the country's seal for 240 years before it was made the national bird.

For children aged 7 to 14. Younger children enjoy it read aloud with an adult turning the pages.
