On Baptism is a brief theological treatise on the doctrine of baptism. Tertullian was considered a virtuoso in comparison to his contemporaries and this treatise exudes that. Though not all of Tertullian's doctrine should be accepted "as is," he provides many precious insights–most especially a window into the early church view of the sacrament of baptism.
