On the Line
Publisher Description
When an innocent online connection turns into an unexpected entanglement between boss and employee, Carrie and Seth must choose between professional boundaries and an electric passion.
Carrie's life takes an enticing twist as a flirty text exchange ignites a spark with a single dad she meets at the store. Unemployed and about to be evicted, luck favors her further when she lands a live-in nanny job for the daughter of Milwaukee Dragons' new defensive star.
With her favorite cosplay convention coming up, she's willing to try anything to earn some money.
But as Carrie steps into her new role, she's astonished to find her text-flirt partner is her boss, Seth Chamberlain.
Amidst sparks and temptation, she struggles to remain strictly professional, even against the allure of Seth's magnetic draw.
Seth faces a dilemma: balancing the game and time with his daughter. If the only nanny in sync with the tween girl is a comic-loving woman whose zeal rivals his daughter's, Seth's all in.
Even if it means resisting temptation at every turn. Drawn in by Carrie's knowing glances and tantalizing lips, Seth hangs on the edge. Will he risk it all for a shot at electric passion?
Carrie and Seth must choose: is their sizzling connection worth the risk?
Customer Reviews
Embarrassing
I skimmed and skipped to 39% and just couldn’t take this anymore. This fast fiction so the author failed a creating an exciting push and pull storyline between the main characters. One of the absolute terrible storylines is the texting. Zero sexual tension. It only lasts for maybe 2 days. I jumped ship and DNF @ 39%. The female character participates in comic con and cosplay. It’s so embarrassing and cringe! I could go on with more examples of how awful this book is but I won’t. It was free for a reason. DO NOT RECOMMEND!
