Hopes never lost

Absolutely brilliant, the writer bid an artist with words and emotion. I loved the storyline and the mystery but what I loved the most is that the characters find the hope they thought they had forever lost. There was one scene in the book that was disturbing and was very hard for me to read. The understand how it fits into the story but it was definitely disturbing for me.

Boring

I bought this book because I was promised a page turner, which I like. I kept giving it a chance, but I kept falling to sleep after a couple of pages. What a waste of money.

New fave book

This book was an absolute pleasure to read. Incredibly sad, emotional deep, and a great twist ending. I loved how deeply I could feel her emotions and pain. Can’t wait to read again.

Marvelous story

In the beginning I wasn’t sure if I was going to like this story. However, I kept on reading and am so grateful that I did.

It is a love story of the land, the trees, the people and the wolves.

There is heartbreak but there is so much love.

Read it. Savor it. I know that some day, I will read it again.

A perfect blend of brain candy and biology

A true page-turner, offering lessons about wolves in the midst of a mystery.

Deeply moving

This story is heartbreaking and hopeful at the same time. I felt transported to another place and another life as I read it. The ending brought me to tears while simultaneously making me feel at peace. A truly lovely story.

Breathtaking

As beautiful a book as I have ever read. The words weave you into the wildness of the world with an exhilarating blend of the two themes.

Confused

I like the primary story line about the wolves, the rewilding efforts and attempts to save the planet. I learned a lot about wolves and this book changed my opinion of them. But, I was confused by the multiple back stories - Inti’s mirror sense-esthesia, her sister’s past, her Dad, Duncan’s past, Stu and his wife, etc. In my opinion, the whole thing became too muddied.
