One Complicated Christmas
I received a complimentary copy of this book and I am voluntarily reviewing it.
This was a charming read. Seth Mason returns to Pine Tree Lodge, where he spent many past Christmases. He has loved Emma Winters for a year but left after she told him to leave. He has changed and wants to works things out with Emma and rebuild their relationship. Emma is the chef at the lodge much to the disappoint of her rich society mother. She has a secret that keeps her away from most others and her mother.
There were a few things that I was a little disappointed on. First being that we didn't get Seth's POV here. That would have made for a really more enjoyable story. Second, the way the book was written with disjointed points of the couple's history seemed awkward to me. Plus apparently Seth, being a high-powered executive wanted a woman on his arm to basically show off at business parties. He apparently left with a woman. Well how did he meet this woman, what happened to her and why exactly did he leave with said woman?
This was a clean second chance romance.
