Born blind in the 17th century, a young boy named William endures tremendous physical and mental challenges. In order to escape a broken home and his tragic life, he sails half way around the world from London to the West Indies. Upon arriving in Barbados, William finds love followed by heartbreak. In an act of defiance and in order to give his children a better life, William vows to become the greatest pirate the world has ever seen.
