What if your whole life had been built on a lie?

Astrid Jensen holds one man responsible for her mother's death, and she's determined to get revenge. She'll do whatever is necessary to get close to Daniel Holst and destroy his life – even if it means sleeping with him to gain his trust. He's handsome, successful, rich and famous, moving in Norway's most elite and glamorous circles.

Astrid knows he's not who he pretends to be, and she's about to reveal his dark secret. But before she can execute her plan, people from her mother's past start turning up dead, and it's starting to look like she and Daniel are next. In order to survive, she might have to put her trust in the man she has hated for so long.

Daniel Holst has worked hard to get to where he is, and he's not about to let any woman bring him down. But when someone starts murdering people from his shadowy past, he discovers that the only person who might be able to save him is the woman who wants to destroy him.

Identical custom-made rings with the victims' initials are found near the bodies. But police are puzzled by the second set of initials in each. Who do they belong to? The answer will lead them to a murder that has remained unsolved for ten years — and eventually to a psychopathic killer and the surprising mastermind behind the most recent murders.

As Astrid digs deeper into her past, she uncovers secrets long buried and realizes everything she once believed is based on lies. What began as one woman's quest to avenge her mother's death becomes a desperate struggle for survival and the truth about what happened one fatal night so long ago. She will have to conquer her fears and face the killer alone to end the slaughter and make peace with the past.

Great book

This is a really great psychological thriller. The story had a great flow and great character work. Both are well written and hold your interest throughout. A book I couldn’t stop reading. I would recommend this book.
