Life with the Murphys contrasts with Carley's old life of poverty with a mother who often dismantled her confidence. At times melodramatic and perhaps overly emotionally manipulative, Hunt's debut novel is nothing if not a tearjerker scenes at home with the Murphy family, as well as those in which Carley builds a tentative friendship at school, are undeniably affecting. Favorite bookkk!!!
I love this book so much and the story is so touching! I love how it didn’t just tell me a story it made me feel emotions and portrayed a person and setting and feelings. While reading I smiled, I laughed, I even cried, and it made me love the book even more! I love this book so much, if I could I would give it over 5 stars! I love the touching story but I NEED a sequel, I want to know why happensss! If you made it this far ty for reading my review definitely read this book! Byeee<3

I loved this book so much! (If you haven’t finished the book yet, I wouldn’t recommend reading this part.)
Although I do wish at the very end that Carley was adopted by the Murphy family instead of going back to Las Vegas, the book itself was amazing and the lesson taught will stick with you for as long as you can remember. The author did an amazing job with this book! It would be just wonderful if the author would please make a sequel!
