About the author
Emma Denny won the Mills & Boon and RNA Romance Includes Everyone competition in 2021. She submitted her first manuscript to a publisher when she was eight and a half and was astonished when it was rejected. Thankfully, that didn’t put her off. After completing a degree in English & Creative Writing, Emma became a professional copywriter and now spends all day—literally—writing. When Raff's father arrives at the castle shortly after the men do, however, their blissful budding relationship is interrupted with harsh news: Penn's father has spread a rumor that Raff kidnapped his son and he's marshaling allies to march north. With their families on the brink of war, Raff and Penn make bold decisions to save each other. Throughout, historical accuracy takes a backseat to intense and poignant emotional turmoil and gracefully erotic moments. This is a toothsome delight for fans of queer historicals.

Great passion and wonderful story, though it felt the both of the “lies” drug on to long, the latter even more so, though I understand why.
The plot twists as well as the romance and familial love made the book as well as the excellent dual narration of the audiobook…
