Someone is determined to make sure that Lexi’s marriage never happens – and that one of them doesn’t leave the island alive.

What a wild ride!

What a wild ride! What’s supposed to be the perfect bachelorette weekend turns into a nightmare, and it takes the entire book to find out what exactly the nightmare is! Lexi is set to marry Ed, finally settling down after her party-girl days, but her friends feel that something is up and decide there’s no contact with Ed throughout the weekend. All the girls at the villa have ties to Lexi in different ways, and as they spend time with Lexi, they are also getting to know each other, but as we continue to read, we find out not everyone is there to celebrate, and they have ulterior motives. Bella’s relationship is crumbling, Robyn is trying to figure out what to do with her life and is fighting her true feelings, Eleanor is grieving the loss of her fiancé, and Ana is struggling raising her son as a single mother. The twist is that some of these women know each other outside of their relationship with Lexi, and they have their own issues to work through with each other. Every time I thought that I figured out what happens, I was proven wrong and given more information on these women. This was a crazy, wild ride of a book, and I was on the edge of my seat at the end figuring out what actually happens and how it changes everybody’s lives. While I wasn’t expecting to enjoy this book as much as I ended up doing, I was surprised that I loved it after being confused in the beginning!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Great for lovers of “Big Little Lies”

Solid 3.5 stars.

I very much enjoyed reading this book, especially the writing style of Clarke - cliffhanger endings to chapters that left me wanting to stay up all night reading, The perfect beach or rainy day read following a hen party on their excursion to Greece. Everyone is a suspect, everyone may be the one who ends up dead, The shocking outcome won’t at all be what you expect.

The only reason I didn’t rate the book higher is because it reminded me too much of “Big Little Lies.” Otherwise, I definitely recommend adding this to your summer 2022 TBR!
