Publisher Description
New York Times bestselling author Jill Shalvis returns to Heartbreaker Bay with a fun and festive holiday novella!
It’s Christmas Eve and Rory Andrews is desperate to get home to the family she hasn’t seen in years. Problem is, her only ride to Lake Tahoe comes in the form of the annoyingly handsome Max Stranton, and his big, goofy, lovable dog Carl.
Hours stuck in a truck with the dead sexy Max sounds like a fate worse than death (not), but Rory’s out of options. She’s had a crush on Max since high school and she knows he’s attracted to her, too. But they have history… and Max is the only one who knows why it went south.
They’ve done a good job of ignoring their chemistry so far, but a long road trip in a massive blizzard might be just what they need to face their past… and one steamy, snowy night is all it takes to bring Max and Rory together at last.

ONE SNOWY NIGHT
A sweet, sexy temptation to put you in the Christmas spirit!
Rory Andrews has finally agreed to go home for Christmas for the first time in years, but she wasn’t counting on her ride back to Tahoe being with the very sexy Max Stranton!
Max and Rory have history behind them. She crushed on him in high school while he was a bit of a jocky jerk, yet only he seems to know why he has seemed mad at her over the years. Hours together in his truck on stormy roads lead to plenty of time to catch up and iron out old grudges, but will the chemistry they can’t seem to deny come alive on that one snowy night?
Seriously misleading
So first, the story is only 113 pages despite the 200+ advertised...while you get the character backstory, the ending is crappy... a true, "Are you kidding me?" Because it isn't an ending, it's a cliffhanger.
Cozy Blizzard!
Enjoyed reading the story of two former high school friends, Max & Rory, who are on a collision of fate pertaining to their past & future. Add, Carl, Max's lovable dog, a blizzard, & growing human emotions, it was a fast pace trip to rekindling friendship & more! Loved this short novella, but thought it should have had more added to the conclusion. It would've been nice to learn how their families accepted their sudden love connection, life after their trip, & outlook for their future. Hope future books in the series can address this. Great holiday story!
