Publisher Description
In the midst of a NYC snow storm Gia's worst nightmare hits—her Lycan heat cycle. Being claimed is a risk she can't take. She just landed her dream job. The last thing she needs is some misogynistic Lycan male to claim her and curse her to be his obedient mate. Hiding is her only option, and the museum is her place of solace. She just needs time and hiding out at the museum seems like the best plan—until a hot Alpha shows up and the lights go out.
As Alpha of his pack and CEO of Kincaid Corporation, Jenson finds himself a man in need of time alone. Time to unwind, time to pretend he's not who he is. But when he dons a disguise and hops on the subway for some carefree fun the intoxicating scent of a she-wolf in heat stirs his attention. The snowstorm outside can't calm the fire he feels when he sees her. Screw the plan, she's the plan.
But after a steamy night together, Gia finds the mystery man is still on her mind, and when she arrives for her first day at work, she's shocked to discover that mystery man is not just her new boss, he's Alpha of the largest territory in New York—and he wants her.
And now they both have to keep their hands to themselves—if they can.
One with the Wolf is a steamy wolf shifter romance. It features a blackout at the museum in a snowstorm, some office romance, luxury settings, pack drama, with a touch of Cinderella magic and a guaranteed HEA.
Trigger warning for: open door, explicit, sometimes crude, romantic encounters, profanity, violence (unrelated to romantic element), mention of possible rape (not by MMC), misogyny, mention of violent death.

Interesting Beginning
This was an entertaining book for the most part. One with the Wolf is an interesting take on the whole werewolf pack dynamic. Shapeshifter books are a hard sell for me for some reason, but Paxton's book kept my attention, and I enjoyed the characters. Gia and Jenson seemed like they would make a cute couple. That is actually one of my knocks against this story. We got to see them hooking up and going on a date, but we didn't seem to get much one-on-one time being with each other. I guess there was too much going on with the packs of New York fighting to give more room to their relationship. But I would have really liked to see them as a new couple who learn to run their pack and be awesome leaders.
