Only in California

When we moved to California in 2003 from Boston, I took pictures of all the things I saw here and posted them on my website for the amusement of my friends back East.

I've been doing what people call "street photography" for about 50 years now, but I always just called it "taking pictures" with the camera that I always carried with me. I find photography is a great way to connect with people, especially Californians who really enjoy posing for you.

But California is filled with cool cars and wacky signs, strange architecture and weird storefronts. Some of the photos I've taken defy categorization!

So maybe this book fits better in the "humor" section or maybe "reporting," but what you see here you'll see "Only in California!"
