Open House

One hundred forty-three guests. One private estate. One dead host. And a witness statement that makes perfect sense, unless you know the rules.

Cass and Wes Ferrier arrive at Bellweather House on Seneca Lake for an invitation-only swinger weekend of beautiful bodies, open doors, and carefully negotiated boundaries. Then, host Grant Mercer is found murdered in a private upstairs play suite.

Several guests swear they later saw Grant alive, kissing a younger woman.

Cass knows something is wrong.

Grant and his wife had spent years in the lifestyle with one rule they never broke: they could sleep with other people, but they never kissed them.

Now sex becomes an alibi, privacy becomes evidence, and every secret agreement gives somebody a reason to lie. As Cass, Wes, and their increasingly unofficial crew uncover hidden cameras, missing records, and a business built on stolen intimacy, they discover someone at Bellweather understands exactly how to hide murder behind desire.

At Open House, everyone came to stop pretending. Someone came prepared to kill to keep a secret.
