I wanted more from this book

"Our Monsters are Real" has a very good premise, but it does not go far enough. I wished the characters were a little more developed; the book only gives the reader a glimpse of one of the seven characters. I wanted the plot to be just a bit more meaty and complicated. It ended too neatly and too darn quickly. A ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ read if the book was about three times longer.

Uh, not so much

This book is filled with grammar and spelling errors—really, “threw” instead of “through”?—and is in need of a good editor. It’s also in need of serious and editing and revision as major plot revelations just appear—filled with gaping holes—and hints “Little did he know he was the only one who could help” are heavy-handed and cliche. The descriptions of the harmonica being played are well written, which shows the writer has some chops, but someone rushed this to the store a few drafts too early.

A good read.

This booked is fast paced and has well developed characters. There were times when I thought I was reading Stephen King. Kudos.
