Identical twin sisters, right from early childhood, have to face complex situations that threaten to sever their tight bond. Nonetheless, by stark determination and by supporting each other in quite unconventional ways, Venice becomes a defense lawyer and Geneva an emergency room doctor. However, secret loves, depression, alcoholism, and schizophrenia lurk sinisterly, threatening to beat them down.

This book is their story. It has many great joyful moments and many excruciatingly painful and sad ones. But overall, it is a triumph of love.

The book does not sensationalize mental illness. It makes a great effort to bring awareness, authentically, to the disease and how it affects the person, their families (and other loved ones), and the community.
