Nothing is inevitable

Paul gives you an amazing passenger-seat view into the evolution of the environmental movement: from tiny storefronts in Berkeley and Santa Barbara, to global initiatives tackling recycling and waste management. As a Santa Barbara native, it was fascinating to read about the evolution of the town that I grew up in. None of what we see today–from East Beach to the Carpinteria valley to the Gaviota Coast–was inevitable. Paul’s work is a great reminder of the hard work necessary to preserve the places that we love.
