Fast, engaging read
I was looking for something lighter to read after finishing a long, intense fantasy novel and Apple Books happened to recommend this one. To be honest I’m not sure whether I would have downloaded it if it weren’t free, but I’m glad I did. I found it such a fast and engaging read that I finished it within two days. I enjoyed the characters and the world-building, and purchased the next book in the series just after finishing this one.
