Publisher Description
These poems were originally published under the same title in 2002 by Owl's Head Press, Alma, New Brunswick, Canada. At the time, it was my first new book of poetry in nine years, about which the publisher noted that the poems had been "influenced by the Persian ghazal and the Japanese haiku" and was a "collection of 64 short lyrics" dealing "with life, the death of a daughter, grief, hope and love" and containing some of my "most delicately crafted work."
It is possible that some of those books (ISBN 0-920635-14-8 [paperback] and ISBN 0-920635-15-6 [bound]) are available through used-book services. I have paperback copies available.
Outside the Event Horizon––Poems of Nakedness & Moonlight was my fourth physical book of poetry. The first, Charge, was published in 1982 by Fiddlehead Poetry Books, Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada (ISBN 0-86492-020-2), the second, Into Nests, Each Perfect as an Inner Ear! was published in 1985, by Owl's Head Press, Riverview, New Brunswick (ISBN 0-920635-01-6), and the third, Where the Fields End––Poems Selected and New was published in 1993 by Owl's Head Press, Alma, New Brunswick (ISBN 0-920635-08-3).
For a number of years my poems appeared fairly often in literary magazines, journals, and anthologies.
This book completes the conversion of my early poetry books to digital format.
I have also digitally published a book of more recent poems––Repatriation (2012, ISBN 978-0-9881188-3-6, available through Amazon Kindle and Apple iBookstore).
