'I enjoyed every minute!' Netgalley review ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Shantal knows one thing in life: that success means everything. So when she gets the call to move from London to Brazil, to test out her racing simulator on high performance Formula One racing drivers, she leaves her life behind, and goes. Because she’ll do anything to succeed.
Darien knows one thing in life: passion is everything. It’s his passion for driving that has led him to the heights of motorsport, a coveted seat as a Formula One driver. When his team insists he moves to Brazil to trial a new racing simulator and racetrack, he goes. Because the one thing he is more passionate about than cars, is Brazil, his home.
When Shantal and Darien meet, sparks aren’t just flying from the gearbox. But in the high stakes world of Formula One, there’s no room for error, and there’s definitely no room for romance on the racetrack…

About the author
Esha Patel is a contemporary romance writer with a love for diverse romances and empowering stories. She is a full-time college student in the Midwest, and has a knack for overbaking so greatly that the resulting yield can probably feed multiple eleven-man soccer teams. When she’s not writing, you can find her drowning in papers, spending time with family and friends, dancing, or watching Real Madrid matches. Patel raises the stakes even higher in her emotional standalone sequel to Offtrack. Shantal mourns her late sister, Sonia, even as she struggles to escape her long shadow and prove herself to her family as a businesswoman. So when her tech company, Conquest, sends her to Brazil to oversee the trials of some new Formula 1 driving training simulators, she throws herself into the assignment despite knowing nothing about the sport. For driver Darien, who used his racing career to support his family following his father's death, everything is on the line this season. He has a chance to become the F1 World Champion, which would mean a lot to both his family and his home country of Brazil. Shantal and Darien initially clash, but they're forced to collaborate after Darien suffers a potentially career-ending accident, leading to a slow-simmering romance. Patel runs on all cylinders, portraying her leads' grief while also peppering in lots of details about the racing world. The diverse cast is especially refreshing, given the overwhelmingly white subgenre of sports romance. Readers will be moved.
