P-Cals is a series of 23 movement and breathing exercises that follow the anatomical plan of our body. In the plan proposed by P-Cals, we awaken our body across five specific cavities, each of which corresponds to specific areas of the spine, with the related nerves, muscles, bones, organs, glands, and tissues.
The five anatomical cavities (Western medicine refers to only four) are the Pelvic Cavity, the Abdominal Cavity, the Thoracic Cavity, the Cranial Cavity, and the Dorsal Cavity, which unites and awakens the other four cavities. Because of this, the exercise series starts and finishes with the Dorsal Cavity.
Each of the five cavities has a specific color, and by remembering these colors while practicing each exercise, you will introduce the innate energy and vibration of each color into your mind and body. By differentiating the five cavities and their colors, we establish in this exercise system a new awareness about our organism and its functioning, allowing us to understand in a clear and direct way the precise areas of the five cavities of our body, which we feel as pelvis, abdomen, chest, head, and spinal column.
With the knowledge of which cavity is being exercised, an awareness of the energy flowing into that area is also recognized, giving us the understanding that our breath and the Kath point are an integral part of each movement.
