Paax: Warlord Brides
출판사 설명
Paax never wanted to be matched to a mate.
The situation in his clan was dangerous for a hardened warrior, let alone a soft Human female without fangs or claws to defend herself. Sending her back to Earth was the only way to keep her safe. However, the moment the curvaceous woman stepped off the transporter, his tattoo burned with a passionate intensity he’d never experienced before. Paax knew he would do anything to protect her, to claim her, even challenge the clan’s violent Warlord.
No force in the universe would take his mate from him.
Matched to an alien warrior in the Draft, Mercy swore she’d do whatever it took to get out of the marriage contract. She liked her life on Earth and her independence. No one would take it away, not even the ridiculously hot warrior who demanded she call him husband.
Why is being claimed by the horned muscular alien the only thing she can think about?
She didn’t want to stay, did she?

Most enjoyable
Nancey Cummings crams a lot of steam, world-building and family drama into this short novella. It doesn’t go too deep into the emotions of H and h, but when your mating is biologically determined you can skip a lot of angst and misunderstanding. Looking forward to more.
horrible
so cheesy. no depth of story. hits all the classic and mundane tropes. how does she give herself the same evening she arrives to his planet? he doesn't even show up at the airport to greet her, doesn't care for her basic needs, yet she's throwing herself at him. Lame. I couldn't even finish it.
Still feels light reading
1st in series is a light read, you get to know the female a bit, the male a bit, the world a bit...... like an outline with the details missing. That being said, I have read the rest of series. The books do build on one another, and the author doesn’t do a lot of overlap in each story, so no blurry lines when you read through. You can just read any of the books and be fine, you don’t have to read all of them to enjoy that world.
