The quaint surfing town of Pacific Beach becomes a destination for murder when a young starlet and her mother are found brutally murdered at the Pacific Terrace hotel where Jillian’s family reunion is taking place. The reunion takes a terrifying turn when Jillian's nephew is arrested as the prime suspect. Jillian must move quickly to find the real killer and prove her nephew's innocence. There is no shortage of suspects, including an unsavory doctor who attended the popular teen star and a mysterious guest at the party where the starlet dies. But why is her mother killed in the next room on the same night? Working at Jillian's side to find the perpetrator of these bizarre killings are her faithful assistant Cecilia Montoya, and Teddy, Jillian's Yorkie companion who sniffs out his own clue.

Pacific Beach
At first I didn’t think I would like it very much. Big family and lots of names to sort out. How could you have a mystery at a family reunion. But she came around and made it very interesting. In fact it was getting so interesting that about one third through it, I had to finish it much to my husband’s chagrin. He watch TV without me that. However, my battery was running down and so was racing the clock and it went black just as the story ended, but I still had the epilogue to read, so I plugged it in and went to bed and got up at 2:30 am and finished it.
Good book!!
I have to tell you that I’m a Mary Higgins Clark fan and never thought I would find another mystery writer I could like as much as I loved her.
They are different writers but they both can hold your attention right up to the last page. I have now purchased the next book about Christmas and will start reading it in the morning. I’m tired and going back to bed. Good night.
