Pact and Promises

Evan Kendrick has senior year plotted like one of his color-coded spreadsheets: finish first in class, grab a scholarship, and—per a hastily written "no-more-virgins" pact with his two best friends—secure a girlfriend before graduation.

Enter Trenton Hale, a hot-headed transfer with a motorcycle, a talent for trouble, and grades so bad they threaten his promised luxury car. He needs a tutor; Evan needs dating advice. Their quid-pro-quo seems perfect—until late-night study sessions, karaoke calculus, and a beach-side sunset rewrite every variable Evan thought he understood about himself, love, and the future.

Complicating matters:
• A trio of bullies who think lunch money should be a subscription service.
• Evan's fiercely protective (and hilariously meddlesome) little sister.
• Parents who equate "true stability" with balanced ledgers and brake-pad demonstrations.
• A pact that never considered boyfriends, only girlfriends.

With graduation racing closer than Trenton's V-8 engine, the boys must survive final exams, skeptical parents, and a spreadsheet full of feelings that won't stay in their assigned cells. Because some agreements are stronger when rewritten, and some hearts only open when you dare to violate the original terms and conditions.

Perfect for fans of Red, White & Royal Blue and Becky Albertalli, PACT & PROMISES delivers a laugh-out-loud, slow-burn, friends-to-lovers ride about first love, chosen family, and the beautiful calculus of growing up.
