Two months have passed since the day I pushed Hayden away. Two months since I found out he loved me and wanted to be with me. I've been trying to move on and forget about him, but my heart refuses to listen.
Hayden had almost died saving me. Half of me wants to forgive him for everything and give him another chance. The other half prevents me from doing so, distrusting him and ignoring my heart's desires. Hayden is dark and complicated, and as the days pass, he gets further away from me, ignoring me whenever our paths cross.
I have less than a year before I go to college, and I won't see him ever again. I have to believe I will get over him and move on with my life. I have to believe in my future without him.
Unless he didn't really move on, and our masks are about to fall.
Excellent story, but very dark
This series has completely captivated me and I plowed through the first two books in three days! Can’t wait for the final book! Hope we don’t have to wait too long ❤️
Couldn’t put my phone down
I had to continue reading because I know how the author writes. I love her sense of writing and leaving us on cliffhangers and I just can’t wait for damaged to be published. I have read all of her books on Wattpad and I’m such a huge fan of hers. I was really sad when the bullied series with trapped and it was perfect how she ended it.
My favorite series!
I first came across Vera Hollins on WattPad where she had first published her works before editing and publishing them. I LOVE her books! Sarah and Hayden’s romance is angsty and dark, but as someone with BPD, I understand it a bit more than the average reader. Bullied and Pained are raw and REAL. Not every single book you read will be flowers and rainbows, and I think that’s what I love most about these books. Hayden isn’t incapable of love nor is he undeserving. Sarah is such an empowering character, showing you that it does take compassion and understanding to love someone who is dark. I hope that anyone who reads this, understands that while you may not always agree, make sure you try and understand all the demons that Hayden has been fighting. I recommend this book 100/10. I urge you to keep an open mind, and remember life isn’t all sunshine. There is darkness with stormy skies. Thank you to the author for your beautifully written works. I can’t wait until the third book.
