Pakistan a Problem for New President (Mountain Views‪)‬

OLEAN -- I had planned all summer to know by now how I would vote in the November presidential election. But I don't. I followed the conventions on television. I listened to the major speeches. I read the newspapers and magazines. I heard an unusual amount of inspired rhetoric, some of it brilliant. But I'm still undecided. I hear no specific plans, nor fresh ideas, nor promising theories, on how to dig this nation out of its many serious messes--from either major party, nor from the candidates themselves.
