Paradigm imperfect

Carpe Diem, seize the moment, the Romans advised in an age unhurried—when life moved slowly, and human history advanced no faster than the gallop of a horse. But they also said, festina lente, meaning hurry slowly, perhaps offering a far-sighted suggestion or an ominous prediction about time—time that grants no replays, no choice of rhythm at which to absorb changing socio-cultural patterns. Within this unusual framework, humanity roams, dodging blows, traps, and deceptions that paradoxically force a glimpse of its deeper nature. Just as the anguish is real, so too will be the resilience found in response. That Plan B, the alternative solution, once unimaginable, now takes on form in this corner of the universe where paradigms, indeed, are imperfect.

Ambra Mattioli is a singer, writer, and art performer who gained recognition with her participation in the inaugural Italian edition of The Voice Senior. She is also a painter, cabinetmaker, and wood artisan, designing and creating unique furniture and home decor pieces. As a singer, she is known for her deep and heartfelt interpretations of David Bowie's music. As a writer, Ambra collaborated with her son Flavio to publish the Amber's Trilogy in Italian. When translating the trilogy into English, she chose to merge the first two parts into a single volume, resulting in Amber's World, divided into The Missing Piece of the Puzzle and The Other Face of God. Following the trilogy, she published a collection of short stories in Italian, Paradigm Imperfect - Stories of Peripheral Universes (Italian: Paradigma Imperfetto - Storie di Universi Periferici), as well as the novels The Earth of Others (Italian: La Terra degli altri) and Black Star.
